Our obstetrics and gynaecology department serves the health needs of women at every stage of life, from adolescence to after menopause. Our work ranges from pre-pregnancy counselling to postnatal check-ups and from routine gynaecological examinations to women's health screening. Examinations take place in rooms designed for privacy, with a chaperone present when needed.
Pregnancy
- Pre-pregnancy assessment and counselling
- Regular antenatal check-ups, ultrasound and combined/triple screening tests
- Guidance on nutrition, exercise and vaccinations in pregnancy
- Planning the type of birth together with your doctor
- Postnatal check-up and breastfeeding support
Gynaecology services
- Annual gynaecological examination and cervical screening (smear, HPV test)
- Assessment of irregular periods and pelvic pain
- Follow-up of cysts and fibroids
- Information and follow-up for menopausal symptoms
- Contraception counselling
Preparing for your appointment
- Bring the date of your last period and any previous test results.
- Note the medicines you take and any known allergies.
- Write down your questions in advance so you do not forget them during the visit.
During pregnancy, go to the emergency department without waiting for an appointment if you have bleeding, severe abdominal pain, a clear decrease in your baby's movements or leaking fluid.
