Orthopaedics and Traumatology
Assessment of bone, joint, muscle and ligament complaints, including sports injuries, joint pain and fracture follow-up.
Our orthopaedics and traumatology department assesses and follows up complaints of the musculoskeletal system. Knee, hip, shoulder and lower back pain, sprains and tears that occur during sport, fractures and childhood orthopaedic problems are our main areas of work. A follow-up plan is prepared for each patient taking into account their age, daily life and expectations.

Treatment approach
For many orthopaedic problems the first step is non-surgical: rest, an exercise programme, physiotherapy and medication where the doctor considers it appropriate. When surgery is being considered, the options, possible risks and recovery process are discussed with the patient in detail, and the decision is made together.
Before your appointment
- Bring any previous X-ray, MRI and report results with you.
- Note when the pain started and which movements make it worse.
- Prepare a list of the medicines you take.
The information on this page is for general guidance only; diagnosis and treatment decisions are made by your doctor after an examination.
